Hygienists normally work on a sessional basis as there are few practices which employ a full-time hygienist. Consequently, they are normally self-employed and arrange their own tax affairs. We have both permanent and locum positions available in and around London. Only hygienists qualified in the U.K., or from Europe, after registration with the General Dental Council (GDC), are permitted to work in the U.K. Other Hygienists from abroad may of course work as Dental Nurses or other such positions.
